  1. We are doing three as well. En, Sp & Fr. all first language using native curriculum, just like you. However, we don't focus on grammar in every language. We do a complete language arts in French. Just writing and reading for English and Spanish. The grammar structure gets transfer in my son's brain. No need for extra lessons. Just a quick stop if something is slightly different. Then social studies, science, math, etc... it's done in units, switching between languages frequently. Writing and reading is integrated in those units, so at the end, we are only adding one extra class: the French. Avoid workbooks, those became busy work. Place your attention in writing small reports and journal entries. Read and do oral reviews, mix the languages and be confident about it. Your kids will naturally transfer knowledge. Trust them to do so and your days will get much easier.
  2. Is there an artist or album that you could recommend? I have a 10yr old boy that likes pop music.
  3. Have you watch POCOYO? You can find it inyoutube. It may be worth a try as it is simple enough for little ones, and easy for the baby to be around. Also, you can get cheap easy readers on Amazon. We used ebooks from Elisabeth Nossa because my son was into non fiction and he got really excited to use the tablet.
  4. I'm raising a trilingual, it was a challenge at first, now he is 9 and fluent, so don't give up! You can do it. Speak to your kids in French only, just like you said, but don't limit yourself to few hours, jump head first and do it all day long. We did it and we are happy now. We also expect my son to reply in the language we spoke to him, if he doesn't, we don't understand him, period. He is allow to draw, describe, or get a diccionary, but we don't bend that rule because It works great around his "wants" and you can see results fast. You may have to endure a week of meltdowns, but if you are consistent, they will respond and you will see amazing progress. Don't forget to play music, funny lyrics are a plus ;) Good luck!
  5. We are using a free curriculum from Ecuador's ministry of education. It is available online, just google: "Ciencias Naturales - Ministerio de Educación" and it will take you to a slide share. You can pick grade and subject by searching their list. We also found a great couple of indies that write non-fiction in native Spanish on Amazon: Elisabeth Nossa (for little ones) and Arelis Diaz (for a more challenging text)
  6. Hello everyone, I am new to this forum, my child is fluent in French (CM2) moving to homeschooling, this is our first year... :hurray: We are using "CNED a la carte" for Francais only, and he is doing a lot of his work independently. We also use the help of a tutor twice a week. We are surviving that part so far, however, I don't speak any French. I have done well signing him up and moving through the first couple of lessons. But, I don't understand what to do with the evaluations, or if the book pages need to be sent back for corrections. I keep looking for the link on the website to send the copies online and can't find it. Please, if any of you have experience with the way CNED works, I would appreciate your help. Alexa :confused1:
