  1. I have a just turned 13-year-old "7th" grader. He has been homeschooled all the way through and this year has been in Classical Conversations Challenge A program. But I am considering pulling him from the program for numerous reasons, family/financial issues. Now I feel like I don't know what programs I'd buy for him for the remainder of this school year. I recently got divorced and am starting nursing school in May and have 3 younger kids who I also homeschool. So I need easy open and go, not crazy expensive to give him a solid end of the year from Jan - May. We use and will stick with CLE math, I am looking for language arts, science, and history. Even though we have always homeschooled, I feel completely lost. The last 2 school years, we really fell behind after my husband left us and we had to go through all that mess. He is an average student, who lacks motivation, so we don't need anything overly complicated. Thanks!!
  2. Hey ladies, I am the "events/field trip coordinator" for our homeschool group of 170 families. I have plenty of ideas for paid trips, but I need some ideas for free events that I can plan. What are some fun, free events that your group does that seems to be a hit? Things like crafts, sports, etc...
  3. We are entering our 6th year of homeschool, and I have 4 kids ages 12, 9, 7, 4. We have had a rough last 2 years in our personal lives (my hubby left us and we are in the process of a divorce). I feel like I have failed my kids the last 2 school years. My kids are slightly behind and have gotten used to not doing much school. I need to find some fun, easy to implement, not way to expensive curriculum to give our homeschool a fresh new start. When we have done school the last 2 years, it has been basically pulling teeth and for me to feel like I can check off the box and say it got done. We have not enjoyed school or each other, and mommy has been an emotional wreck. Now that we are living with family and getting back into a school routine, I need to jump back in. I feel as if I'm brand new and don't even know where to begin. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on some curriculum, that is enjoyable and easy to jump into. Or anyone else ever been in a situation similar and have positive encouragement to share. God Bless.
