  1. Thanks....you were right about explorer.. not geared for girls but very in depth...that's what's I was really wanting:001_smile:
  2. I'd like to add more bible studies for oldest daughter..almost 9..is there anything specific to girls???
  3. Is anyone using " Great books Academy" I havn't found ANY reviews on them or their service for grading.ect.....They follow what we are doing now..how ever there dosn't seem to be a way to contact them directly.... The thought of a full service classical provider would be great but only if I can find someone else who has used them....thanks for any info.
  4. If your willing to go off of disney property there is a fantastic dinner show called "Medival Times"...so awsome.. You are seated around a jousting arena in colored sections that belong to each "Knight" and you are served food and drink by "wenches" while you watch and hoop and hollar for your "Knight" to win the jousting on real horse's and sword fighting...(but not scary in ANY way for the younger kids)...they are trying to win the hand of the princess..... There is also a Pirate shipped theme at another location that is also just as fun..Pirates swinging by ropes on a HUGE ship sword fights..cannons...and some more "wenches" serving you food while you cheer for your "pirate" I forget the name of it but you can find it by seaching for "Dinner Shows" in orlando...hope this helps.
  5. I want to intergrate into our curriculum some units... -Creation -health and safety -5 senses -Emotions -Children of the world -holidays For my PreK's...While I know what I want to cover...I have NO idea where to look for actual units...we want something fun ,hands on...I'm not a very creative type so I can't just wing it...are there consumables out there I just don't know about that would cover these subject's???? uugghh I'm getting flustered just thinking about it....Or is this some thing that I would truly have to come up with on my own??
  6. I'm new to HSing so I'm mostley following the curriculum that my oldest used at her classical private school....sing spell and write, and Phonics museum from VP..for preK and the we will add ABEKA for K-3 while finishing up the other's....long story short DD can read WELL above grade and age level.....Before I decided to HS I looked at some schools where we will be moving and they said that she would have to skip ahead to 4th or 5th grade...My DD is NOT Gifted...just properly educated..
  7. I use Latin for children primer A...comes with student text, answer key activity book DVDS and CD, and a latin history reader..The great thing is that it incorporates Shurley Grammer methods and history...We LOVE it..You can get it a Veritas Press for $99.95
  8. Has anyone heard of or used "brainetics" math and memory system...it looks like a great supplement,I'm just wondering how much of MY time it requires...
