  1. Yeah, it worked!:001_smile: Thanks so much Maria!
  2. It sounds weak to me, but I use one cup of grounds for 12 cups coffee. I think you will need to play around with it. When we switched brands of coffee it took me a few pots to get it just right. Good luck!
  3. Thank you for all your responses.:) You have all given me so many brands to look into! I wouldn't even know where to find beans to roast myself! Hmmmm, I'm going to have to look into that. How do you roast the beans? A friend of mine is opening a coffee shop in a couple weeks and she met with a barista today for a full day of one on one training. I'm sooo jealous! I'm hoping she'll share her new knowledge with me!
  4. I saw on HGTV you can also use large safety pins instead of clips.
  5. Unfortunatly, at 33, I have lots of gray hair. I started graying in my mid-twenties. Like many of you highlighting took care of it for a long time, but now I do a second all over color. I'm just not ready to be gray yet! On that note, I saw a lady with beautiful gray-silver hair cut in a classy bob- it looked great! I like to think I will do that one day, just not yet!
  6. We are good friends with a family that owns a hardwood flooring company. They've installed new floors and refinished existing floors for us and they've always recommended to us water and vinegar. I would think that would be safe, but you could always check with the manufacturer.
  7. I make my yogurt a little different. For step 3. I add 1/2 cup of yogurt to the milk, whisk it in for 2 min. I then fill my canning jars up and put them in an oven that has been preheated to 200 and then turned off. I leave them in for 6-12 hours, depending on when I get around to getting them out. We also use raw milk. My SIL tried this with store bought whole milk and it didn't work. Has anyone had success with store bought milk?
  8. I love my Bunn coffee maker! I know they are pricey, but we were going through a coffee maker every 5 months or so. This one brews a full pot of coffee in 3 min. It comes with a deliming tool which was important to us because our water is so hard (actually this is probably why we were needing new coffee makers so often.) They have models with thermal carafes too which would help with your breaking issue. Here's a link to mine: http://www.amazon.com/NHBX-B-Contemporary-10-Cup-Coffee-Brewer/dp/B000FFQ4TG/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1211389611&sr=8-1
  9. We buy a brand called Stewarts. Prices have recently gone up more than $2 for a 23oz can, so it's now over $9/can. So what are you all drinking and what are you paying?
  10. Every morning I drink hot, strong coffee with half & half. Often in the afternoon when my husband gets home from work we'll sit down and have another cup of coffee. I enjoy a cup of black tea now and then, I do put sugar or honey in that. Hmmm, I think I'm in need of a refill now:001_smile:
  11. I second The Pioneer Woman. A friend introduced me to her after I inherited my brother's old Nikon D70. I just drool over her photography.
  12. Lisa, I am so sorry. I will be praying for Wendy and the precious children.
