  1. I loved my woven wrap, a Hoppediz from www.attachedtobaby.com. I read several articles about how woven is better for the baby's back and whatnot. I loved having the different wrap possibilities! I received so many compliments on it and how great it was for the baby that I felt like handing out fliers as to why wrapping is good and business cards for Attached to Baby. Anyway, check them out!
  2. I took my son out of preschool because he wasn't being challenged enough academically (or at all). He is 5 and I'd say he's very bright for his age. His desire to learn has made me start teaching him early. We've been using Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons and he's doing great! I just bought Moving with Math so we'll add that to our daily schedule as soon as it comes. I'm wondering what else I need to add? I don't want to over do it and burn out but at the same time I feel he has too much free time that is not spent well (ie TV, movies, and games). What are your tips for getting him used to school at home? I also need help setting up a daily schedule! I don't know how to do school with him but still get all the household chores, curriculum planning, and shopping done and still get the time I need for myself each day. So...how do you do it?! Anyone willing to share their schedules or tips on what has worked for them? Right now I use the 1 year old's nap time to do reading. When the math curric comes I would like to use the morning time before the baby is up. Unfortunately, that is the time I would normally be doing chores. So then the chores need to be done during the day when the baby is up and the oldest gravitates to the TV or computer. I hate that he spends so much time with these things but I don't know what to do with him while I do my "work." I also hate the fits he throws when I turn it off. What has worked for you in cutting out screen time? I appreciate any help, ideas, and suggestions you can offer.
  3. We have the Bosch Nexxt 700 Series W&D and have loved them! I was worried about mold in the beginning, but it hasn't been a problem. (Only when I leave the clothes in there overnight on a hot summer night, that is. LOL) I find that if I use some vinegar and baking soda in an empty load once in a while it keeps it nice and fresh. It does take about an hour on the regular cycle and I feel that the "short cycle" option doesn't get my clothes clean enough. It works GREAT on stains though! I don't even have to pre-treat usually. I pack it to the brim and it still does fine, although sometimes I run the "spin" and "drain" cycles if there is still too much water. The dryer only takes 50 minutes. It does get a little noisy on the spin cycle, but not nearly as bad as some I've heard and I think a large part of it is all the stuff on top of it rattling around. Bosch makes great products, if you're willing to put out more in the beginning. Luckily my brother worked at our local Bosch store so we got them at cost. Good luck to you!!!
