Environmental Science??

Recommended Posts

Could you use one of the recommended AP texts:

(list from the College Board)

Botkin, Daniel B., and Edward A. Keller. Environmental Science: Earth as a Living Planet. New

York: John Wiley & Sons.

Berg, Linda, and Peter H. Raven. Environment. New York: John Wiley & Sons.

Brennan, Scott R., and Jay H. Withgott. Environment: The Science Behind the Stories. San

Francisco: Pearson Education/Benjamin Cummings.

Chiras, Daniel D. Environmental Science. Boston: Jones and Bartlett.

Cunningham, William P., Mary Ann Cunningham, and Barbara Woodward Saigo.

Environmental Science: A Global Concern. New York: McGraw-Hill.

Enger, Eldon D., and Bradley F. Smith. Environmental Science: A Study of Interrelationships.

New York: McGraw-Hill.

Miller, G. Tyler. Living in the Environment: Principles, Connections, and Solutions. Pacific Grove,

CA: Brooks/Cole Thomson Learning.

Miller, G. Tyler, Jr. Environmental Science: Working with the Earth. Pacific Grove, CA:

Brooks/Cole Thomson Learning.

Wright, Richard. Environmental Science. Upper Saddle River, NJ: Pearson/Prentice Hall.

It would seem that these publishers would have the ancillary materials. There may also be an AP Enviro listserv for teachers with additional advice.

Just a thought.

Contact the publishers.

Some are leery of distributing test bank materials to individuals, but will sell these and other teacher related materials to homeschoolers.

Or search ISBNs to see if some are available on the used market. Since books come in so many editions (not just 1st, 2nd and 3rd, but brief and split editions), it can sometimes be exasperating to find a teacher and student book which line up. You'll need patience and luck if you go this route.

Oak Meadow will sell you the teacher manual for any of their courses so long as you aren't signed up for teacher support. The teacher manual is for the work that Oak Meadow assigns in the syllabus.

For Health, there isn't any daily work, but there are weekly tests. The tests and answer key are in the teacher manual.

For Biology, there aren't any tests, but there are labs and daily work. The labs and daily work assignments are in the syllabus. The answer key is in the teacher manual.
