kalanamak
I know someone who might suddenly get a rising 9th and 10th grader from a distant relative. She did some homeschool in the past, and is not a complete novice, but not any high school. I was thinking something Calvert-ish (secular) but for 9th and 10th grade while this family sorts out where these kids will land, legally. I've never looked into such things, and wondered if anyone here had any starting points for me to look at. The kids have been doing average school, average work, but no order at home. A gentle start would be great. Thanks.
Guest Katia
Take a look at Paradigm Accelerated Curriculum and System Curriculum (PACS). It is secular, self-paced and I've heard good reviews on it.
Veronica in VA
Do they need something that is accredited since the legal issues aren't quite worked out yet? If so maybe the American School of Correspondence. Veronica
MamaSheep
Maybe Oak Meadow or K-12?

Guest Katia
I thought of another one! Check out Seascape Center's Malibu Cove High School. I have heard good reviews of this one, too. http://seascapecenter.com/
Kate in Arabia
My sil graduated from the American School. Their materials seemed very basic, straightforward -- some were books I had had in high school myself. She did everything independently. http://www.americanschoolofcorr.com/
