Janice in NJ
Next Saturday older ds will take his first standardized test. Is there any on-line samples of the student cover sheet for the subject tests? Name, address, etc... It would be great if I could familiarize him with the test's format as much as possible. We've been working through the Barron's & P.Review prep books so he is hip to the Physics questions. I would just like to show him more of the actual test structural "stuff." Knowledge is power. The more he knows ahead of time, the more confidence he will have that day. Does that make sense? :001_smile: Thanks! You folks are an amazing resource! Peace, Janice Enjoy your little people Enjoy your journey
Kathy in Richmond
...if you can take him by a bookstore, the College Board's official subject test practice book has copies of the real answer sheets inside.
Musicmom
:iagree:Definitely try to take a look at the answer sheets in the College Board's Official Study Guide for all SAT Subject Tests. These are the closest you will find to the real thing. My ds went into his first SAT II having only done practice tests out of other prep books, and he was quite thrown by the initial information gathering on the real answer sheet. It was just so different and more info than he expected. Beyond the name and address stuff, there are other questions your ds will want to be prepared for, like how many years of the subject he's taken, etc. Absolutely, knowledge is power. My ds would have been much more comfortable if he'd known what to expect. By his second SAT II, he not only had the original one under his belt, but also we made sure he actually took the practice test, complete with the beginning info section, from the College Board book beforehand--and he was much more comfortable! Best of luck to your ds on the test!
