LearnFromHome
I received my copy today and I can't figure out how its considered Algebra I; it doesn't cover as much as other books my other children have used. I'm also finding that it doesn't have much practice problems. What I'm I missing with this program?
jacqui in mo
Do you have the Home Companion LoF book? It has a lot of extra practice in it. I think it takes both of the Algebra books to make a full algebra course. Hopefully someone else with more knowledge will address that. chelsea in TN
You definitely need the home companion book for it to be a complete curriculum. I have used it with one son and now have the second going through it. I think it does cover everything a general alg I book covers. Both of my boys have done well with LOF as in my oldest feels he FINALLY understands it, He has completed: Beg. Alg, Adv, Alg, Geometry and is now working through the trig book. But I used the home companions with each (except geometry since they do not have one) and they completed all the extra problems. I do think that it appears that LOF does not cover everything at first because it looks really different. Sit down with another alg I book if you have it and compare side to side you may have a different opinion then.

It will permit an easier comparison.
