Osmosis Mom
No, I am not joking; we have nine more to go before deciding. She did get a very nice first letter of acceptance to one of our safer choices -but still an excellent one- with a 15k renewable scholarship and an invitation to be in an Honors Colloquiom (or whatever it was, it sounded cool enough!!). Nadia:)

Karen in CO
That is awesome. My ds only applied to two. I wish he had applied to nine instead.
Begonia
I love to hear homeschool success stories. You've obviously done a great job homeschooling your dd. She's in an enviable position. I hope she gets many more acceptances.

Guest Katia
Isn't is wonderful to actually receive those acceptance letters? My dd received her first two acceptances yesterday, and one more today. (out of 5 colleges applied to) YEAH! One was just a regular state college, just an acceptance. The other two were more selective colleges and both offered her their Presidential Academic Scholarship which is a half-tuition paid for all four years! And she still hasn't auditioned yet, so we are hoping for music scholarships as well as other possible financial aid. One of the colleges gave her 3 English credits for her score on the writing portion of the ACT, and invited her to apply for their Honors College. Wow! This is SOOO exciting! Rejoicing with you! ereks mom
Congrats! Ds applied to only two. It was gratifying to get those acceptance letters!
Osmosis Mom
Congratulations Katia. How wonderful news. I think three out of the ten colleges give answers in January. The more selective ones end of March (and they are the ones we are vying for, of course...!). However, this college is certainly worthy, and I am personally thrilled since I was taking my Guidance Counselor role pretty serious and it would have looked horrible if she did not get even ONE application, haha!! Guest Virginia Dawn
It feels good doesn't it? Ds has recieved acceptance letters from 3 out of 5. The last two are more selective schools so our fingers are crossed
