DianeJM
We need to find ways to do the courses that are completely out of my realm (math and science--I'm horrible). One way is Teaching Company dvd's, which we have a few of and are great. I just came across Standard Deviants in a catalog and wondered about those courses. On the website it looks super, but what is it like in real life? Do any of you use high school courses from Standard Deviants? As a stand-alone course or as a supplement? What do you think of them? Thanks a bunch!!
Miss Marple
I've used several of these. They are a lot of fun esp. as introductory material. The ones I've used were definitely not stand alone courses. Netflix carries the series.
Claire
They are supplements only, and often very light. Check your library for them. I can't imagine anyone actually purchasing these for educational content.
Tammyla
DiscoveryEducation/Unitedstreaming has a large number of these available if you have access. My dd and ds enjoy many of them.
DianeJM
Great to know; I appreciate your comments. I'll check the library; they have some and we can do inter-library loan. That will help me put together a program. I appreciate you all. Thanks! Blessings,
