So far we've just been watching Magic School Bus with the Spanish turned on, but my older kids are getting kind of tired of it. We just watched an absolutely fabulous series from Spain called Celia, about a mischevious but good-hearted 7-yo girl. My kids want to watch it every night now, even though they don't really understand a lot of the Spanish yet. This made me think that there's got to be other good dvds out there that were made in Spain or Latin America that I don't know to look for, rather than just watching English stuff dubbed. If I look at Amazon for Spanish film, it's pretty much all for adults - but once I had this title, it's actually there, there must be more. Any recommendations? I think my kids are a bit old for Pocoyo, but I really like the Mellizas - especially since I have mellizas! (well, twins, not triplets :-) Do you know what's on the DVDs at Amazon? Most of the stuff there is the kind of thing I want to avoid (Barney in Spanish - ick!), but I did find some Mexican stuff - The Cantinflas Show and El Capuchin Colorado - has anyone seen those to know if they're good or just cheesy?? Both the titles you mentioned have three episodes. The Grandes Aventuras episodes riff on 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, The Three Musketeers, and Around the World in 80 Days. The Grandes Viajes episodes are called: Africa, The Circus and Space. All episodes are in both Spanish and English. Most of the DVD's on The Triplets website are Spanish and Catalan only.
