mo2
Has anyone skipped a level of Teaching Textbooks? I was wondering if it is feasible to go from TT6 into prealgebra, skipping TT7.
Skippy
I think this could be done. Maybe take or at least look at the placement test for pre-algebra to see if the student is ready. You could also compare the table of contents for TT6, TT7, and TT Pre-Algebra to see if there are some subjects that your student needs to cover before making the jump. I do think that for many students, a jump like this in TT would work out just fine.
OneStepAtATime
Give the placement test, figure out where gaps are that might need to be filled in, then just try out the lessons for that level you are wanting to skip to. Much of TT is review in the first lessons so it could very well be doable. If they hit a snag, take a side step to fill in gaps through youtube videos and practice pages printed off the internet before resuming TT lessons....
