Rachel
I'm planning science reading for my 10 year old for next school year. I'd like to purchase a package of books for him to read, something along the line of Marie Curie's Search for Radium or Pasteur's Fight Against Microbes or even Exploring the World of Physics. I want to stay away from anything that has 100 different text boxes on one page (like Usborne, DK, or Magic School Bus). I know some companies package up picture books or literature books for a year. Does anyone do that for science? I've already looked at what Sonlight has available, I got a few ideas, but they don't really have what I'm looking for. I guess a book list would be OK too. Any suggestions?
Rachel
Oh we are studying physics next year, but finishing chemistry this year. I'm fine with biology suggestions too, I have 3 more kids behind him so all the books will be read.
HomeAgain
Moving Beyond The Page has science book packages. So does Winter Promise, I think, and Build Your Own Library has a book list each year for their science books (along with several others)

Rachel
Beautiful Feet sells a science book collection just in case anyone else was wondering. They will also take out up to 3 books if you already own them.
hollyhock
Exploring the World of Physics is part of a series by the same author. They are all really good, so if he enjoys that one, he might like the others. My oldest adored Exploring the History of Medicine.
SilverMoon
Horrible Science has a boxed set that's been well-loved here.
