mama25angels
Good morning. Today's schedule Today is another "I don't know," day, the PS here out for Presidents's Day and I'm considering us being off as well. Ordinarily, I wouldn't even consider taking today off but my MIL is coming for a visit and I need to do a spot of cleaning before she gets here. There's nothing like having someone come visit unannounced and then not give you a definite day for their arrival, all we know is either today or tomorrow. Please pray I keep a good attitude during this visit, I really wish she would visit at a time that's convenient for us, like spring break or summer. So, I'm hoping Devotional (at least) Latin Math at Khan Cleaning up chore areas/helping elsewhere as needed. Mommyof1
Little one is feeling better. No fever since last night. Threw up last night (once) nothing since. Bodyaches gone. Slept well but got up early. She has a cough with congestion. Drinking but eating little. She is acting normal and playing. Says her throat hurts a little. Which can happen with postnasal drip, which she has. Continuing allergy meds. Having an ice storm currently. Postponed Dr appointment due to weather. If throat becomes more or if something else comes up will reschedule. DH went to work before storm hit. She did some school. Phonograms and word families. Science shows and audiobooks. Listened to an old radio version of "Wizard of Oz". Board games, new Lego kit (Daddy brought her last night) and painting. Tea party with poetry reading (after lunch)? She likes the idea.

Aurelia
I was finally able to track down the office that has DD's shot records, but they've been archived and they said it takes a month to get them from storage. So DD isn't going to school this upcoming year, which is fine, she needs another year before high school, and their 8th grade doesn't offer the electives she wanted. So now I'm planning next year! Anyone have some good suggestions for pre-algebra? :tongue_smilie:

Critterfixer
It's been a tough day for me to be focused. I'm still sleepy and grumpy from a late night, I got a rejection this morning that stung although it was polite and kind, and I just can't get motivated. Mommyof1
Hope sleep happens for you Critter. Usually the morning is grocery shopping and story time at library on Fridays. mama25angels
Good morning, my mood is not the best today, I haven't slept well all week and neither have my boys. We've had too many late nights so, it's like pulling teeth to get them up in the morning. I have a strange question, is it unreasonable to want to know how long a guest is planning to stay? Especially when the guest has displaced a child from their bedroom and the child has to sleep on the couch but, the guest sits up watching TV until after child's bedtime. We do let said child stay up later on weekends but try to maintain a routine during the week. Anyway our schedule today is Devotional Spelling test Math lesson Latin (maybe) History, science
Critterfixer
I'd be tempted to change the sleeping arrangements, and see if the guest would prefer the couch. :glare:
