Shellydon
Has anyone done a co-op class for 3rd-6th graders that covers Ancient History? Maybe using SOTW or other resources? I am wondering if there are enough hands on activities to do weekly as a group. Thoughts?
SoCal_Bear
If you get the activity book, there are plenty of hands on activities to do in there.
HomeAgain
I have. It was fantastic. I created units and sourced activities. Most of the parents were doing SOTW or similar at home, so in class we did a lot of activity with the stories woven in. I used Mr. Donn, SOTW activity book, Mysteries In History: Ancient History (a book full of classroom based discovery activities), and primary sources when we could. The main thing I had to keep in mind was to make every class something that was more difficult to do at home/not as parent friendly.
