to the actual college, how long would you expect it to take to find out if you got in?

My son was accepted to the University in Dec.  He was invited to apply to the honors program and applied by Feb. 2nd.   Wondering  how long it will take to find out?

Do you think he will know by April when he needs to make a firm decision about going there or not?

DS found out about college acceptance in Jan and just heard about Honors College acceptance and financial aid awards this week. I would think that Honors College acceptance would come out about the same time that financial aid info comes out and surely before any deadlines!

Did he apply for both at the same time?  Ours was Nov. application.  Dec. 15th acceptance.  Feb. 2nd application to Honors Program.

No, not at the same time. His application was in by September I think, but we didn't hear about acceptance til January. He waited to finish the Honors College application til after all his other apps for admission to other colleges we're complete, so maybe he submitted that one by December or so? Can't remember when exactly but it definitely wasn't at the same time as admission.
