Scarlett
My best friend's son is going to Tokyo to live for about 3 months. What can he take from the states that would make a nice hostess gift if he is invited to someone's home? My mind is blank and he leaves in a few days. J-rap
We generally would get something more state-specific rather than U.S. specific. A type of food unique to our state (or at least produced in our state), a nice coffee mug made by a local artist, maybe a calendar with local or state landmarks on it, a book by a local author if their English is good, etc.
