BOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DH has been sick for 4 days.  Middle and youngest started feeling it last night.  And now I am down.

FLU.  I hate missing work for actual illness!

I know. Because you cannot even enjoy the time off and when you get back, there is more work.

One of mine missed a couple day of work last week - in fact, one morning I met her at ER as she felt she possibly had appendicitis. Turns out she coughed so much she gave herself a tiny hernia. :-( She was able to go home after a few hours.

Today I am taking chicken soup etc to other dd (an hour away in a shred townhome near her college). She took herself to Urgent Care yesterday thinking strep had come back - quick test negative but her throat is bright red and glands very swollen so they did an overnight test and gave her steroids. I am hoping she did not get mono, she is carrying a large work/school load this term and can not afford to take time off.

A couple weeks ago I spent two nights sleeping upright in a chair at my adult son with autism's hospital bedside (after six hours sitting by his side in ER) - he is non-verbal now (he can talk but barely does now - receptive seems intact) so I am his "mouthpiece". Pancreatitis, not flu. So far none of them has had the flu. I had a flu shot and hope it works. I am spending too much time in various hospitals with kids and being exposed to germies.

Swollen gland dd is a junior majoring in elementary education. She works 20 hours a week in kid care at local city rec. center. She is just now realizing being around little kids all the time is going to be exposing her to all sorts of things over and over and over....

I feel ya! Yep, me too.

DD diagnosed Wednesday w Flu A. I stayed home Wednesday and Thursday (2 of my 3 day work week) to take care of her. I’m hoping mine is minor and I can work. I had a flu shot which was mandatory at work (healthcare center).

This flu season has been unpredictable to say the least!

I hope you and your dd feel better soon! I also hope you can take more time off from work so you don’t spread the flu to others at the healthcare center! :grouphug:

You must be exhausted! :grouphug: I’m so sorry to hear that your kids have been so sick! :(
