Monica_in_Switzerland
ETA: Quiz is DONE, Thank you all! DS's 11th birthday party is this weekend and it's HP themed. I plan on doing a Jeapordy type game with the kids and need to come up with 50 questions! Panic! I've got categories, but if anyone would like to just pick a category and give me 5 questions for that category, it'd be great! If you think of another category that's awesome, feel free to submit it! Ideally, limit trivia to the content of the first three books, as we have two guests who have only made it through those so far. Categories: - Famous First Names (This category is already done, I'm just giving the family name and kids have to supply the first name, i.e. Q: Umbridge, A: Dolores) - Locations (any Q that might give answers like "whomping willow" or "Shrieking Shack" or whatever) - Spells (Q: description of spell, A: spell name) DONE - Potions (similar to spells) - Hogwart's Class Schedule (describe class or name teacher, answer with class title) - By The Number (Any Q with a numerical answer, i.e. 9 and 3 quarters) - Quidditch Through the Ages (Questions on positions or balls or rules or...) - Who Said It (Q is a quote, A is the name of the speaker, i.e. "It's Levi-O-Sah!") - Fantastic Beasts (Not sure with this one, we might not have seen enough magical creatures by book 3) - Magical Objects (Same thing with above, not sure if we've seen things like extendable ears by book 3?) - Diagon Alley (Names of shops or similar?) There's an extra category in there, just in case. Final question will be author's name, LOL. Not sure if my kids know JKR's name! ETA: Although the board will be set up Jeapordy style, we will not be doing the whole answer in the form of a question thing! Keeping it simple! Raifta
I wish I could mail you by Platform 9 3/4 brick wall sheet and our mirror that still (over one year later) says that the Chamber of Secrets has been opened - enemies of the heir beware. And our floating candles. I suck at making up questions, but I googled and found many HP quizzes online, including this one that seemed to have some that might fit into your categories. Hope everyone has a great time!

shawthorne44
Good catch, thank you! We finished Book 4 about a week ago, so it is very fresh in my mind. The DVD for it is in the DVD player. I made a rule that the book must be read before the movie is watched. The rule is because DD finds some things scary, and I figure books are easier to handle, and then the movie will be easier to handle knowing that everything turns out OK.
