FWIW, I get cold feet every single time I am about to start. I have a week to decide. I will take you up on that. :laugh: I thought about auditing, but then I figure if I'm going to put in the effort to do well (because I will no matter what) then might as well get the credit. Hunter Posted January 9, 2018 Share Posted January 9, 2018 My math book is scary, too. The Spanish is easier and the math is harder than I expected. Extremely so for both. The storm delayed me getting my paralegal book, but Easter Seals declared me "visually impaired" as well as crazy this morning, so I got access to an eBook with large text and audio this afternoon. I LOVE that book. It is very interesting. The sociology book is a disappointment. My college has their own very diluted book. My college so freaking not controversial about anything. Some kids got in trouble for handing out free copies of the USA constitution! The book is like a a general social studies book, not sociology. Weird. English is just handbooks, so I have no idea what to expect. We can do this Sparkly! We can. And if we fail at something we try, it is okay. There is all sorts of learning and living to do by doing that, too. There are all sorts of people here expecting me to fail so badly, they spend all their time with me quizzing me on when the last date to drop a class is and stuff like that. :thumbdown: :001_tt2: Maybe watch some kids practicing flips while skateboarding and snowboarding. All they do is fall. They EXPECT to fall. They only later succeed BECAUSE they fell. Math is pretty. When I am not crying into my book so hard at 4AM in the morning, that I am sticking the pages together. Studying for that test was BRUTAL, but getting the score that I did, opened so many doors for me. Well over a thousand dollars of funding I got for this semester was based entirely off of those test scores. It gave me some leverage when I stared into the eyes of someone that expects me to fail. I told her that I deserve the chance to TRY. And I told her I wasn't asking her permission and that I was going to do it anyway. The only thing in her control was whether I went into debt or not. Alas, they dissolved the computer science department, and I had to go over to information technology.
