shawthorne44
So, DD is finishing Beast Academy 2a tomorrow. I was looking at the Singapore 2a that I'd planned for next. It looks super easy. There are probably several of you who have already faced this, what came next after BA2a?
JMG221
We did 2a of both Singapore and BA concurrently. She is now flying through Singapore 2b.
shawthorne44
I guess there is that, flying through isn't a bad thing every now and then.
rebbyribs
DS8 went right back to BA3B and did really well with it. He's just doing Prodigy at the moment and will start 3c in January. DD8 is working through the end of Chapter reviews from Math Mammoth as a pre-test and it looks like she will be doing the sections on estimating and measurement soon. shawthorne44
So, those of you that are eagerly awaiting BA 2B. Do you think that checking for a 2B publication date daily is too often
Shoes+Ships+SealingWax
I was planning to grab BA2, but by the time we wrap up this year DS will have finished Singapore 2A & 2/3 of RightStart C. Given the rate of release, I'm just going to go for BA3...
SoCal_Bear
Consider using the Intensive Practice and Challenging Word Problem books for SM.
Shoes+Ships+SealingWax
Consider using the Intensive Practice and Challenging Word Problem books for SM. Yes!! We use them in place of the workbook. Much more challenging & engaging material in the IPs.
SilverMoon
My little guy is using Beast 3A alongside Singapore 2B at the moment. He just did SM 2A in a month and 2B hasn't really challenged him yet, but it's been good for him and I wouldn't change a thing. 🙂 When a lesson is particularly easy I offer him the choice of a second lesson or time in Beast. Fwiw, he also plays on Prodigy regularly too.
fralala
I guess there is that, flying through isn't a bad thing every now and then. Unless you have a kid who turns sullen and alternately careless/slow as molasses when given material that isn't challenging enough, in which case I agree IP and CWP are good alternatives.
