DawnM
I am planning to hit the thrift store tomorrow to look, but in case I can't find anything, give me some easy suggestions for creating one out of a sweatshirt or old sweater. DS needs one to go Caroling.
Storygirl
I've seen people attach tinsel and bows to a sweatshirt. You can swoop the tinsel from top to bottom, kind of in the shape of a tree. If you google, you can see some homemade ideas, but beware... some of the ideas are less appropriate (in my opinion).

Selkie
Walmart has a lot of really ugly ones. No idea what they cost, though.
Sherry in OH
If he has a green sweater/sweatshirt he could attach a few Christmas ornaments to the front. For added effect, add a light-up bulb necklace or some garland.
Starr
Decorate an old sweatshirt craft style , paint, pin poms , garland etc. A snowman or tree would be easy.
itsheresomewhere
I took a vest I made out of fleece and attached ornaments with safety pins. You could buy a T-shirt and make it ugly with a glue gun, tinsel and dollar store Christmas decor. Claire’s has some great stuff on sale now to make a great ugly sweater outfit. DS got a blinking tie made out of tinsel, and DD got a bunch of stuff to make an ugly sweater outfit.
mathnerd
At my workplace, they had an Ugly Sweater Day and people wore sweaters that are marketed as Ugly Sweaters. They bought it from Bed Bath and Beyond or Target. You can try those, maybe! https://www.target.com/c/ugly-sweaters/-/N-4xvqw https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/s/ugly-christmas-sweater? Some of them were funny even though they were all ugly :)
alisoncooks
My mom works in an office and they do ugly sweaters every year. Last year my mom did the vomiting Rudolph (see similar sweater here, in the first post: https://www.boredpanda.com/ugly-christmas-sweaters/ ).
