MysteryJen
Good morning! dd2 and I got back last night. I am glad to be home, although I have mountains of laundry, mail, packages stacked high, chores. It is a little stressful, not going to lie. I already took dd2 to school, she is a little stress ball, finals start tomorrow for her and although she did lots of work at the meet, she still missed 4 days. The boys had a pretty boring time, though ds3 did win his tennis tournament yesterday! So I plan to talk with them a lot today. To do: laundry, laundry, laundry The house is pretty clean (thanks boys-but no one did the bathrooms  ) daily chores bills open the packages and start wrapping order a couple more things ds3-guitar lesson ds2- discuss some lessons learned this semester (mostly scheduling-not bad, just typical boy stuff) take ds3 to tennis pick up dd2- try to feed and de-stress her (no practice today-coach orders) take ds2 to aikido figure out some dinner pick up ds3 pick up ds2 Have a great day!

ScoutTN
Tons of filing done and heaps of paper sent to recycle/shredder. Reset the table with clean linens. Bed linens in the laundry now. Ds' temp is down with tylenol, but he is clearly not his usual energetic self. He's sipping apple juice and watching Harry Potter movies. Next up: lunch grocery
Selkie
It's snowing here - so pretty! I'm watching my horses play in the snow as I sit at my desk and pay bills. AT&T is our landline provider for our business phone. Last month, they sent us a bill for $262.00, which is waaay more than it should have been according to our plan. Dh spent at least an hour on the phone with them and they were apologetic, said it was a mistake and our account would be credited. Well, we just got this month's bill and it is $454.00! Dh is on the phone with them right now and this is what he looks like: :cursing:  :banghead:

My poor father was on the phone for over 4 hours. Good luck getting it straightened out!
SKL
I "fell asleep" last night in the wee hours - kept getting that dizzy "gonna pass out" feeling, so I decided to "take a nap." You know how that usually ends. Got up about 6:30 cussing and throwing things. So much for meeting my commitments. I did finally finish the big report about 2pm, which is when the conference call regarding the same project started. Finally pulled my head out of that mess around 3pm. I haven't done anything else all day. Now I need to get a couple things done before close of business Central time. Wish I could just quit for the day.
MysteryJen
Laundry still going, guitar lesson done, quick trip to get wrapping paper, etc, picked up my new glasses (progressive lenses, sigh), now I am trying to get used to them at home. ds2 has a bad cold, so no aikido. Just rest and study for his final tomorrow. The afternoon cleared up pretty nicely for me. I will wrap presents after I drop off ds3 and pick up dd2. No snow here, sunny, dry and 60 degrees!
SKL
As for the rest of the day - the kids will be home soon with homework, and then they have gymnastics in the evening. Not sure who will drive them there. Probably me. And I'll work in the car.
Jean in Newcastle
1 load of laundry washed Had my check up. I got my first flu shot in 25 years today. I had a bad reaction 25 years ago and avoided them afterwards. But this year the news I am hearing locally about how bad a flu season it is caused me to decide to try it anyway. It’s been an hour and I am fine. Not even much pain in my arm so far. Had lunch with Dd at a gluten free cafe. Went to Best Buy to replace charging cables that the bunnies destroyed. One of the cables is the wrong one. [emoji20] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Selkie
Our power was out all afternoon so we had the generator running. Now it's back on. The roads are super slick from snow and freezing fog and there have been tons of accidents. I did office work for about four hours today and made a lot of progress.
Jean in Newcastle
We turned around and went back to Best Buy and I got the right charger to replace the one that Bailey (aka Fang) bit through - and stopped at Trader Joe's for "fast food" (aka gluten free food that I can just pop in the oven). I'm tired but my vaccined arm still feels fine - or at least no more achy than it does every day of the year. Oh and I put one load in the dryer and put a second load in the washer.
ScoutTN
Got my mom and dd to the piano recital and now back home with ds. 2 hrs of driving - yuck. My cough is worse. I am now having pain in my left side/chest when I cough. Ds' fever is back to over 100, with tylenol. Possibly seeing the doc tomorrow. Dd is way, way behind on her work and has three things to finish before tutorial tomorrow. No how can she do more than 30 minutes worth tonight or tomorrow morning. Oh well, she has to learn sometime. Better in 7th than in 9th grade! Bath towels almost done in the dryer.
Selkie
Scout, I hope you and your ds are on the mend soon. :grouphug: Jean, I hope your arm continues to feel fine. Mine was only a little bit sore after this year's shot.
SKL
Well, I decided not to work in the car, but to go shopping. I went to a little place that has a Lowe's, a Malley's and a Target all in a row. Figured I'd grab some dopey gifts for the people I don't know well enough to buy for, and some stocking sfuffers / candy for my brats. Well funny thing, I was in Target and I had about $200 worth of Lowes and Malleys in my cart as I browsed. I walked away from the cart at one point without realizing it, then later thought someone else had accidentally taken my cart instead of theirs. It wasn't until I was checking out that I remembered my $200 of purchases were in there. I went back and retraced my steps, and there it was, right where I had left it. I think I need some sleep! So I think I have pretty much what I need to finish Christmas. Might need to pick up one or two things for boring people, but I can do that at Walgreens on my annual photo run. So now the main thing I have to do (gift wise) is wrap. Not sure when I will get time for that ... Oh and when I got home, I started reviewing math homework and my kid comes out of the bathroom saying the toilet is leaking. Turns out there is a huge crack in the toilet tank. I don't even want to know how that happened. I have never even heard of such a thing. I cleaned it up and went back to checking math. I am so sick of leaks and broken stuff.
