SKL
Up in the wee hours and not done with that report. I got re-routed and ended up spending hours on visa applications for India and Australia for our upcoming trip. Funny thing, I dug through just about all my files looking for a document that has never existed. Duh. But hopefully we got it all done to the satisfaction of the destination countries. The India one had some items that simply can't be answered for kids adopted by a single mom. But you can't leave the answers blank either. For example, if the applicant is not employed, they ask for employment info for the father or the spouse. What are you supposed to do if the kid doesn't have a father or a spouse? Last time I called and asked what I should do, and they made me send my kids' 3 birth certificates, 2 name change documents, and who knows what else. This time I just gave answers as I felt best, so we'll see what happens. Now I should get a bit of shut-eye. My sister will pick up my kids in the morning and take them to a dog show. They need to be ready by 9am. Then I will keep working until about 1:30 when I'll go get them and take them to a community theater event for scouts. Then back home, kids do homework and mom does "work work."
Pink and Green Mom
Good morning! DH and DS16 had to leave at 6:30 am for a baseball tournament. We are freezing here in FL (low 50s) and don't know what to do with ourselves. Fire in the fireplace and hot tub tonight for sure. I really need to be productive today but I just want to wrap myself up in a blanket and read in front of the fire. -coffee -laundry (the same 3 loads I haven't done all week, plus more) DONE: 4 -continue Whole30 batch freezer cooking (Italian meatballs/sauce, Gyoza meatballs, buffalo chicken cauliflower soup, marinated chicken tenderloins for salads, etc). -Publix for the 2 things I forgot to buy for batch cooking (maybe DH can do it on his way back from baseball....) -make sure DS16 studies for his three tests tomorrow (ugh, I hate when the teachers do this) -plan school for the week for DS13 -decorate the outside for Christmas -decorate the tree -deocrate the mantle and inside -snuggle up with blankets and a fire and read -order tickets to Trans-Siberian Orchestra when they are in town -dinner (either leftover pork from last night or a London broil) -the Church at DS16's school has an amazing, beautiful night of Christmas music and celebration tonight at 7. Doors open at 6. Either go watch it live or watch the live stream at home (need to see if that will be available, if not I really want to go) ETA: I'm in total ADHD mode here. I have little bits of everything done, but nothing complete. Sigh. Edited December 11, 2017 by Pink and Green Mom

ScoutTN
Well, once everyone was gone, I felt restless, so I tidied up some, checked Dd's math, updated the budget and wrote some lists. Next up: make a casserole.
Baseball mom
I really really really don't want to do anything but curl up in my comfy pjs with a blanket & book and read. BUT Since the house resembles a tornado aftermath and I am super far behind on Christmas stuff I guess I need to do something. Try to not panic - Christmas stuff Meal plan Make sure all calendars match - events Make 1 list of ALL things I need from store (grocery, cookie baking supplies & gifts). I have multiple 1/2 lists floating around, on paper & in my head Make list of bills need to pay before Christmas I Laundry Dig house out of mess. Isn't dirty just bad cluttered, drop & go. Find food. This needs to be 1st. I just realized I haven't eaten since yesterday afternoon.
Guest
Happy birthday to your DD, Jean. I finished one mini-stuffed-felt-bunny and most of the way done the second. They're palm sized and adorbs. Changed my sheets. Put some shoes away. Have another project to try to finish and then on to looking for a new job. Reapplied for health coverage and may not have had to? There are dates all over the place and I don't actually know from looking at the site whether my MA is good and when it expires and if there was actually a paperwork request at some point. Ughh!!! First, lunch. Then, bunny. Then, other stuff.

ScoutTN
Argh! Anyone else have a family member who is insanely picky about clothes? I broke my own rule of never buying my dh clothes because he never likes what I get, even when I shop based on what he has clearly said. (exact sizes, brands, colors etc.) Thought I was doing well to get some dress shirts ordered as a gift for Dh this morning while I was here by myself. He told me just now that he wants the button down collar ones, which he has never preferred before, in 15.5 years of marriage. When he originally requested the shirts, he didn't say anything about the button down. Cancelling and reordering is way too complicated because I had a promo code, a gift card and Paypal balance involved. He can just return them himself. I give up. Sorry to vent!
Selkie
I got the Christmas lights up on the deck. Told the males of the family that they are responsible for the rest of the outside lights. :) The coat closet is decluttered. It was such a mess....ds19 had five pairs of outgrown boots in there. Emptied garbage cans, got my hay steamer all clean and put back together, placed my grain and bedding order. I threw the ball for half an hour with my ball-obsessed dog. It's a good arm workout. Roasted a turkey breast for dh to eat over the next few days. Making dinner now.
SKL
Still working on that bling blang report, and I have a lot of other stuff due also. Not sure sleep is gonna happen, or if it is, how much. I'm pretty exhausted. Feels like a really long day and it isn't nearly over yet. It was not a bad day really, except the tween lip in the evening, which should really surprise nobody at this point. I'm just stressed out because there is so much to do. The show we saw was very nice, so I'm glad I took the time for it, even though it made things harder. Oh and my stinking tire is still leaking. So I'm going to have to make a 3rd appointment at the tire place. It's under warranty, which is probably why they aren't recommending just replacing the damn thing. Enough already. It's too cold and who has time to keep filling up tires all the time. I had it serviced on Thursday and already today the PSI was down to one-third of what it was supposed to be.
