stephanier.1765
Have you found a good way to wrap books for Christmas so that it isn't obvious from the start what the present is? In the past, I've used old Amazon boxes or shirt boxes stuffed with tissue paper to keep the book from sliding around. Now I'm finding I'd rather have something more presentable or cherishable (not a real word). Something so it looks as if some thought went into it instead of just thrown into what would ever fit. Baseball mom
I am weird and wrap things in cereal boxes, cracker boxes, hamburger helper boxes, trash bag box etc. If the food came in a liner in the box. The box can be used. Weird but funny at same time. Edited December 10, 2017 by Baseball mom
klmama
It sounds like you want a lovely box? Maybe there would be something the right size here: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_1_10?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=gift+boxes&sprefix=gift+boxes%2Caps%2C661&crid=85ZUB9GDII23
Ali in OR
I've found some really nice boxes at our Dollar Tree store (yep, for $1). They are a little smaller than a shirt box and are made of a nice sturdy cardboard that should prove reusable for many years. They are decorated but could also be wrapped. For books this year, I'm not wrapping them at all. There will be an Icelandic Yule-book-flood in our living room Christmas morning with a note explaining the tradition in Iceland. I'm thinking each of the books will appeal to multiple family members, so no names will be on them.

I’m stealing it :) I declared myself DONE with Christmas shopping yesterday, though. Hmm... I could save the idea for next year or maybe I will just take a quick trip to the used bookstore and see how that goes.
Night Elf
If you use a box bigger than the book, put something in that makes a sound like a jingle bell. That will throw them off.

You can get them at hobby stores but when I stained our deck I just wiped out the inside really well with mineral spirits Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
