BlsdMama
Can I use a 4th generation or must I get a 5th? Carry on! :)Also, I assume I want a speaker to go with these.
PeterPan
Kindle 8" might be cheaper than an iPod, does more, and has a good dual speaker system. An old iPhone or smartphone would work too. You want small or cheap or both?
Guest2
My son uses 3rd? Possibly 4th ipod. Certainly not the most current. Also ipad mini might be nice for the wordtext recordings (easier to read along).
poppy
My daughter uses an ancient one for Learning Ally. When you download the app it says ‘not compatible , would you like to download an older version?’ And then it’s fine. We also use Bookshare which, like Learning Ally, has text displayed as you read. Bookshare is free, but the app you use it to hear it through an Apple product (Voicedream) has a one time fee. Even the oldest iPods have Bluetooth so any cheap wireless speaker will do. Or use an old boom box with an audio in/ out cable. Edited December 10, 2017 by poppy
