AnnE-girl
I loved the cranberry Gorgonzola dressing from Trader Joe’s for Thanksgiving and Christmas salads, but it’s been discontinued. At least our store doesn’t carry it anymore. My google search for a copycat recipe is coming up empty. Any chance the Hive can help?

Rachel
It sounds delicious, is it a creamy dressing?
unsinkable
It sounds delicious, is it a creamy dressing? The description said it is a vinaigrette. "Some of our favorite festive flavors fortuitously flow forth in this simultaneously versatile and vivacious vinaigrette. Along with balsamic vinegar, plump cranberries, crunchy walnut pieces and tangy crumbled Gorgonzola cheese are the basis for this sweet and tangy dressing. It's made with wholesome, quality ingredients, including the origin of its subtle red hue; we use the natural tint of cranberries to achieve our color palette." Maybe try a basic vinaigrette with balsamic vinegar. Add some cranberries and completely emulsify in a blender. Then add a bit more cranberries but just give the blender a few pulses, to keep some cranberry pieces. I'd keep the walnuts and cheese separate, but that's me. I'd rather control the amount of those ingredients I used by adding them to the salad.

unsinkable
Or maybe make a cranberry syrup and use that instead of balsamic vinegar. Use a regular vinegar and the syrup as a sweetener and for flavor.
SparklyUnicorn
If you happen to have an Aldi, I just saw this today in Aldi.
Seasider
If you happen to have an Aldi, I just saw this today in Aldi. That makes sense, since TJ and Aldi stores have the same roots. Putting this on the grocery list, it sounds delicious!

SparklyUnicorn
It was in the refrigerated section near the special cheese (not on a regular shelf).
AnnE-girl
Thanks for the bump and the suggestions! I’ll run over to our Aldi later today. I’m doing a mixed baby green salad with pears and possibly more dried cranberries and crumbled Gorgonzola.
