Dmmetler
I had a filling fall out yesterday night-on an airplane. I am in FL until Sunday and my dentist at home is closed until Monday anyway. Any suggestions on getting through the next few days? The temporary stuff says to use for 48 hours or less, so I’m reluctant to use it. The tooth doesn’t hurt, but has a definite gap that will tend to trap food, etc, and I don’t want it to get worse. wapiti
I don't remember what it's called, but if it's hurting, there's a tiny tub of stuff you can put on it, available at most pharmacies/groceries. Maybe that's the temporary stuff you're referring to. Honestly I think it depends on how much pain you're in as to whether that's necessary. I had a crown come out on a weekend once and getting the stuff was kind of an emergency, but it held me over.
mlktwins
I used orthodontic wax in September when my tooth cracked and a piece fell off. It happened Friday and I couldn't get an appt until Tuesday. I also ate mostly soft foods until my appt. I didn't want to make it worse.
