$100 family gift

My dad is asking what we all want for Christmas- kids range from 9yo to 1yo. I feel like it would be easier on him to just get a family gift instead of 6 individual gifts. Any ideas what I could suggest around $100? And I love the idea of a membership or event but he’s the type that wants to see us unwrap something.

Kapla Blocks!

The kids' uncle bought them a big box many years ago and everyone loves them. It's the one toy that seems to be played from babies to grandparents. Everyone likes sitting down and constructing something out of Kapla blocks. Even my teenagers will sit down and build things - especially when family is gathered around and we're all just visiting in the living room.

If he's the type who likes to see gifts unwrapped, he may want to see all the grandkids get separate gifts?

Maybe family suggestion plus individual or group suggestions (adults gift X, kids gift Y)?

Remote controlled vehicles are good for a lot of ages. Riding toys that are unique can be good (like those special razor glide toys). Same with sports toys.

For 6 people is the budget really only $100 or are you just guessing? My fil buys for all 5 of my kids plus dh and myself. I wanted to try to decrease the number of things so I put a trampoline on our wish list, along with individual ideas. The trampoline was $250. When I sent the list I expressed how this was something they may all like if it is in the budget bit of course individual gifts would be liked just as much.

He ended up getting the trampoline. I had no idea what his actual budget was so I gave in an out if that was too much.

Yes, Kapla blocks--you can do so much if you have a TON of them.

There is a local science museum that has a Kapla room.  DD and her friends built these huge beehive structures that were big enough to hold people and had actual doorways.  It was quite remarkable, but it used up several thousand.  (Staff took pictures of these and posted them on the walls in the hallway there for a while.  It was pretty cool.)
