emzhengjiu
My Hover upright isn't working anymore - motor burned out. In our home, I have a kitty that sheds and two daughters with very long hair. There's hair and fur on the carpet all the time. We live in a 2 bedroom apartment with more carpet than tile. I used to have a Dyson that I loved, but it too died several years ago. Unfortunately, my budget doesn't run to more than about $100, but I would like to stay under that if possible. Why did it have to stop working this time of year! Recommendations please.
Garga
Walmart has some vacuums on sale for Black Friday. Just last week, we needed a new vacuum and bought one ($66 Bissell Powerforce Helix Turbo). But I'm going to buy their $44 Bissel with the retractable cord on Black Friday as a backup for when my new one dies in a few years. It's bascially the same as the one I bought for $66, but has the retractable cord as well and was originally $88. I've only used the new one a couple of times, but I'm happy with it. It got 4.5 stars on amazon. If I spend $66 on a vacuum and it dies in 6 years, that's ok for me. It only cost about $10 a year.

mommyoffive
We have this one https://www.walmart.com/ip/Shark-Navigator-Lift-Away-Bagless-Upright-Vacuum-Cleaner-NV351/15528564?action=product_interest&action_type=title&beacon_version=1.0.2&bucket_id=irsbucketdefault&client_guid=d8e01499-b97c-4681-3318-ac9a87ab8a50&config_id=2&customer_id_enc&findingMethod=p13n&guid=d8e01499-b97c-4681-3318-ac9a87ab8a50&item_id=15528564&parent_anchor_item_id=54561796&parent_item_id=54561796&placement_id=irs-2-m2&reporter=recommendations&source=new_site&strategy=PWVUB&visitor_id=c9oL9ktW7x2B0jTmvdn0WU Got in on BF a few years back. Works better than my Dyson did. We had a hoover in btwn that and I didn't like it. Shark stands behind their machines way better than both of those companies. I have had a few things break and they sent out new parts, right away for free. I will always by sharks. Dyson and Hoover wouldn't help at all when their machines died
