Fun videos for kids re: France, Germany, Ireland, UK?

Recommended Posts

My kids enjoyed The Little Travelers series of 5 DVDs featuring a couple of kids who traveled to Japan, Germany, The British Isles, Bali and Iran. We borrowed them from our library.

If you have Amazon Prime the little travelers is free to stream. It only covers Germany and British Isles though if you are trying to hit European countries. There is some videos on prime also called Traveling with Kids and there is an Ireland one. I haven't watched it though. I have been trying to compile them as well since we are covering Europe second semester.

I know you didn't ask about other things but if you can get your hands on 10 Days in Europe, which is a board game, it is another awesome addition to the study of Europe.

This was a while ago but my dc’s used to really like Rick Steves travel videos. I know he has Spain, France, and Italy which would fill in some more countries. My library had them.

ETA For UK sites English Heritage has videos for many of the ones they manage on YouTube like Stonehenge. https://www.google.com/search?q=english+heritage+stonehenge&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari
