Don’t you love it when your college kid comes home

The first time mine came home he told me that it is vitally important to wash whites seperate from darks. He was very insistent on this point. ( hay son, I did tell you this before you left home).

Funny thing is that each of my sons has made this very same discovery after leaving home and have come home to advise me on their discovery.😂🙃🤣😂

Yes, I do remember when our son visited his first break and asked, "Are we eating by 5:30?  That is what I am used to."  In his defense, he did realize how it sounded and laughed, but I do think that he did mean it at first=)

I must admit that he is fun to feed compared to the rest of the family.  I buy and cook for them, but they don't eat the volumes or variety he does.  There is just a boy eating us out of house and home that warms this mama's heart!

In my house, the kid that is coming home today said “you have to let me cook at least a couple meals! I don’t ever get to cook!â€

We are all a little bit excited especially since no one else cooks that. Yesterday one of my teens said I have had to do so much cooking I can’t cook anymore! This was after making pancakes for themselves and putting a frozen meal into the oven on the same day!

LOL! Both of mine live at home and commute, but my older one isn't around much because of his class schedule and work. He has a meal plan because he eats so much. I'm convinced it actually saves me money because he eats his largest meal of the day there.

Yesterday I picked up groceries and bought five gallons of milk because he'll be around all day for most of the five days. He works Wednesday evening and Friday afternoon, and then leaves Sunday afternoon for National Guard processing. So at least we have some time together,

When my eldest came home from college he was just happy to eat something that wasn't pizza or fast-food Chinese. I was lucky, though. He just lived the next town over. But he came by once a week to do his laundry because the machines in his apartment complex sucked.

My younger ds will complain about nothing to eat--but he lives here! I tell him he can just go back to campus and eat at the Commons where they have lots and lots of food. Apparently all we ever have is ingredients.

I asked mine what he wanted on hand (English muffins, eggs, cheese, chicken, hot sauce and fresh spinach.) He essentially makes all his meals AND eats what I make.

However, "Oh, by the way....ALL the clothes I brought are dirty."

:/
