SKL Posted November 18, 2017 Share Posted November 18, 2017 (edited) I've been up all day & half the night trying to finish a stupid report. Ugh. I did send it out, along with some questions I need answered before I can finalize it. Now I need to get some sleep before the morning alarms start ringing. Kids are scheduled to ride horses Saturday morning. Meanwhile I need to go to another town to pick up my daughter's Turkey Trot race package. I tried picking it up last Wednesday when I was nearby, but it wasn't allowed - you have to come on the specific day they are at that specific location. Annoying, as they are all far from my house. I have lots of work, and I need to make the kids practice their instruments a lot since they are playing in church on Sunday. I may or may not require them to also do some homework. We are supposed to go to my sister's for dinner Saturday night. I want to take some hand-me-downs along - some are packed, some aren't. I had wanted to pack some Samaritan's Purse shoeboxes, but I don't think it's realistic with the other things I need to do. I feel like I'm forgetting something. Unfortunately DS16 can’t take himself because it is interstate driving that moves at 80 mph minimum and I don’t feel comfortable letting him drive at that speed. Guest Posted November 18, 2017 Share Posted November 18, 2017 Convinced excel to do most of what I needed it to for my report, I'll take the loss on the rest of the points since it's already late. This weekend: Regroup! - need to sort through emails and see what I need to reply to - work on school projects (it'd be great to get everything not time-limited done this weekend, since I can't do anything anyway) - maybe tidy up my stuff a bit, things need put away and dusted - maybe visit the grocery store (scooter! and snacks!) - plan an archive visit for next week - I sort of need to paint my nails - Sort pictures, clean up social media, make some plans for self study, craft Decided not to go into work Monday... I really can't get around on the crutches at all and I'm afraid I'll injure myself if I do more than vital. Already done: •fed horses •cleaned stalls (always a mess when it rains because the horses like to stay in all night) •fed dogs & cats •fed birds •fed dh •rescheduled hay delivery (too wet today) To do: •place a Boxed order •plan menu for the week •order supplements •split the pills that I picked up at vet's yesterday (old dog's arthritis medicine) •read and relax •dinner: salad, artichokes, and buffalo cauliflower wings •watch hockey tonight 4 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
SKL Posted November 18, 2017 Share Posted November 18, 2017 It's pretty nasty here today. Glad I have an inside job. :P The kids are glad their horse trainer has an indoor arena. :P So far so good. It took the kids a half hour to get out of bed, but I used the time to go through some old books and set aside some hand-me-downs for the nieces. Dropped the kids off for horse riding and picked up the turkey trot stuff and some donuts. Dh is going to research it some more because he's the shopper and I'm not (and don't want to be) kitchen - emptied dishwasher and put stuff away. The kids got our entryway and front hall painted. Cleaned all the horses' feet. It was too cold and mucky to get many outdoor chores done. We had a woman speak in our SS class who had lived in Romania in an orphanage and was the recipient of a box for Christmas.
