Every year I have a wine steward pick 6 bottles of wine for a total of about $100.. DH enjoys trying the new wines and I don't have to stumble around the wine aisle to try to figure it out. LOL

Last year, he got new rain gear.  I ordered Helly Hansen jacket and bottoms from Amazon.  He sails and loves the new gear.

Previous items were:

Fire stick for when he travels for work

Watch with features for kayaking.

Trail guides /bodies of water for outdoor activities (kayaking river guides, sailing guides etc)

Outdoor clothing

Portable speaker

etc.

For DH I am getting him a DNA test for the dog.  He picked the dog, he loves the dog (LOVES the dog) and I know they are probably unreliable, but it will be fun and he will enjoy it.

I also usually get DH a couple of new pairs of Wrightsocks, which are the only socks that both he and I have used and loved for running/volleyball/other athletic pursuits for many many years.  They are comfy and we never every get blisters.  They last like crazy too, so he doesn't really need new ones as they pretty much never get holes, but they do get pretty dingy looking as we do not worry about separating laundry colours so the white ones are really gray now.

For my dad, I am getting him Sprout Pencils.  This may seem strange, but he is a man who will literally use a pencil until there is half an inch of it left.  I am also getting him the   Pop Chart Lab 100 Essential Novels Scratch Off Chart because he loves to read and since he retired he has been picking various literary prizes and reading through all the winners (let's read all the Booker prize winners!  let's read all the Giller prize winners!  let's read all the Nobel prize winners! etc).  So this is right up his alley.

DFIL is more of a film buff so I'm going to Pop Chart for their 100 Essential Films Scratch Off Chart.

Uncommon Goods and Touch of Modern have lots of cool things.

A beer brewing kit was a huge hit here. I ordered from Northern Brewer at a Hive member’s suggestion. They have kits for many price ranges.

Season tickets or even just one ticket to a favorite sports team. If you buy now, you can often get a special that comes with a scarf or something.

Concert tickets - bonus if there’s a babysitter lined up.

Coffee roasting paraphernalia. Prices range, but this looks like a fun, obsessive hobby for coffee lovers.

I once gave DH a new backpack with picnic supplies (we take picnic stuff into the nearby city often) and 12 black envelopes. I used silver sharpie to write the month on each envelope, and inside put either tickets to an event or printed out something about a free exhibit opening that month or some other activity for us to do, that month. Groupon was helpful in filling envelopes. That was fun.

Massage oil in the stocking. We both have sore muscle issues, and DH once gave me a massage table and a year of massage. No, I’m not talking about TeA but actual help for pain. I have a lot of pain. But you could, of course, change this gift up a bit! :D

I’m really stuck this year, so hoping for some inspiration.

I'm giddy because my dh has taken up model railroading as a hobby. He is so hard to buy for and this gives me 'stuff' to buy him. The main trains and track were an early gift, but he is getting tanker cars for his train in his stocking. This real estate agent really wants to fix up some houses and towns for his track....soon.

All my guys are getting fun socks this year.

DH and I don’t exchange gifts because there’s nothing I want that I would want someone to spend money on, and both of us have specific hobbies they don’t lend themselves well to gifts at this point.

But for smallish stuff, I’ve gotten him new sleep pants and t-shirts for his favorite guitar company, both of which were much appreciated.

A temperature controlled ceramic mug- you can even use an app to control the temp and it charges on a saucer.  It's spendy at $79 but is DH's only 'fun' present this Christmas (he asked for this) and looks very elegant and beautiful.  I won't lie, I'm terrified he will drop it but think the concept is brilliant!

That sounds very interesting! :hurray: Do you have a link to where I can order one? Or if you can post the name of it, I'm sure I'll be able to find it somewhere.

I also wanted to add that last year I got my husband a really nice Bible. He loves it. So for the Christian/religious husband:

A nice leather Bible

A leather Bible case

A Bible concordance, dictionary, or commentary (Christian book.com often puts these on sale between Thanksgiving and Christmas)

Bible on CD

Sermons on CD or DVD (my husband likes listening to these during his commute to work)

Bible movies (again, Christian book has great deals on these)
