DawnM
DS filled out an application online in October. We didn't pay until today. But it wouldn't let us change his intended major. He clicked on the wrong thing and it is the hardest major to get into! Is there anything we can do before they see it tomorrow or after they see it? Thanks, Dawn
Julie of KY
I'd both email and call the admission office.
GoodGrief
I'd both email and call the admission office. Agreed. Do it first thing when the office opens.
Bootsie
Is this a university that makes an admissions decision and then a separate decision of being admitted to a major? Or, is it does being accepted at the university depend upon being accepted into the major first?

DawnM
Thank you! I did see a place today that says, "Your application was completed on 10/25, if you wish to make changes, you will need to send an email." I didn't see that yesterday as it was kind of hidden on the next page.
Bootsie
I have no idea. How can I find that information? I would look under the admissions process for the university (and then also look at the particular major and see if there is some information). For most schools in the US, admissions to the university and admissions to the major are two separate issues. For example, there may be admissions to the university and the student will be considered a pre-X major then after completing 30 hours with certain pre-req courses the student is allowed to apply to the particular major--there are all types of variations.
