Sale on Great Courses Plus

Recommended Posts

I ran across a sale on Great Courses Plus, the streaming service from GC. They normally cost $20/month, and this deal is for $10/month for life. https://www.thegreatcoursesplus.com/3-mo-plan?plan=0000015e-3497-dd23-a9df-3ff76d0e0000&utm_source=US_SocialMedia&utm_medium=SocialMediaAdvertisingFacebook&utm_campaign=139147

ETA: They posted on their Facebook that the deal is for both current and new subscribers. I signed up as a new subscriber, so I’m not sure what current subscribers need to do to get the deal.

Whoa, looks awesome! So if I wanted to use it a few months, and then take a few months off, I could come back for $10 / month? (That is how we use GC in this house, LOL.)

If I’m reading the fine print correctly, no. The deal only holds for a continuous subscription, billed in three month increments. Once you cancel, the deal ends.

We also go in bursts. I’m not sure if it will stay worthwhile for that reason, but figured I might as well pay for it now and start a burst of watching/listening. You can cancel anytime.

Thank you!!!! I was one of the beta testers for GC+ and love the courses. I probably could have called customer service, but since my annual subscription was expiring the first of November, I cancelled and just resubscribed at the lower rate. I hope this doesn't mean they're having financial problems though.

Yeah $20 a month for everyone was good news. $10/month is bad news, I'm afraid :(

ETA I think I'll leave my subscription at $20/month because we use it so heavily. Even at 20/mo GCP is still my best homeschooling bargain.
