SparklyUnicorn
Record high today of 91 where I am. It's fall. I live in upstate NY. This is CRAZY weather. What about your neck of the woods?
3 ladybugs
Live in NJ. Would have liked this a month ago. Right now it is odd and not fun! Thinking I need to get the kids more shorts then remembering that it is FALL and they will be in a sweater next week! Ugh!
Hilltopmom
Lol, I'm north of you. It's crazy indeed. Our homeschool group is doing our "fall" camping trip at the beach right now. So hot. But a beautiful beach day yesterday!
regentrude
crazy. Heat wave for two weeks. The entire last week temps in the 90s. This is supposed to be FALL. Today it's a cool 86.
rebcoola
Not crazy but a little cooler than usual and feels like fall when we normally have a few more weeks.
Pawz4me
Not really. It's hot, but not really unusually hot. Our Septembers can be anywhere from really nice to hellishly hot.
KatieJ
Record breaking high temps for a week now. Leaves are rally not turning color, just falling off.
SKL
For the first time in my life (or probably ever), the local schools closed because of heat! Freaky! My 10yo theorizes that this has something to do with the hurricanes.
AmandaVT
Ugh - I'm in central VT and we've been near 90 the past couple of days and unusually warm prior to that. It should be in the mid 60's now. 2 more days of this and then it's supposed to cool off a bunch. I feel like I've been ripped off by September. We put A/Cs back in storage weeks ago, so I'm currently sitting in my living room sweating and hoping any kind of breeze will start up soon..... PinkTulip
80 degrees and gorgeous a week ago, snowed this weekend, and supposed to be back up to 70 by Friday.
AnnE-girl
Record breaking high temps for a week now. Leaves are rally not turning color, just falling off. Here too. I think we've almost hit the number of precipitation-free days to qualify for a drought too. We had floods earlier in the summer. Crazy. hjffkj
I'm in Delaware and don't find the 95 degree particularly off. What I find off is that there hasn't been a cold day mixed in with the hot days.
MrsMommy
It's TOO HOT in the St. Louis area. I was looking forward to lovely evening breezes coming in the open windows, but it's so darn hot and humid, even at nine and ten o'clock at night, that isn't happening. MBM
Hot and muggy in Chicago. Too hot for my liking.
Heatherwith4
It is really hot here. Not totally unusual for Alabama in September, but it just really stinks when we already had a taste of cool weather. I think we are having a cold front come in at the end of this week though. Jean in Newcastle
Totally normal weather here. (Knock on wood because typing this probably jinxed me or something.)
scholastica
Yes. It is way too hot for September where I am. I can't wait for Wednesday when we will be merely unseasonably warm.
Starr
I was invited to lunch today at a restaurant with nice outdoor seating on the water. It was too hot to sit outside!
bethben
I'm in the western part of the country where it is below level cold. It was a balmy high of 54 degrees today. I'm a little on the chilly side. Everything west of around Colorado is colder than usual.
Guest
Ohio has had a horrible heat wave. I tried my hand at some gardening and my mums are practically fainting by midday. According to be people who know around these parts this is insane, and more like June or August. Thankfully it is breaking this week. My kids have been unable to play outside with overheating. We can't mow the lawn without my husband nearly passing out. Even my goldfish look hot. Yes, we are wimpy Alaskans. But 88-92 with nearly 100% humidity is cruel and unusual punishment. I WAS PROMISED CRISP AND PRETTY WEATHER FOR FALL, DARNIT!
mamaraby
Yup. Record breaking heat for three days in a row. It's like July outside. Come Wednesday we should be back to normal. I'm really looking forward to it.
Zuzu822
It's ridiculous! I'm in Central NY. I read on some news report in the last week that's it's never been this hot this late in September around here. Ever. Our summer was pretty wet and cool, and apparently this week is making up for all that. Not impressed.
mommyoffive
Yes. It is going back to normal this week and it is going to feel so cold

SeaConquest
Dry and low 80s here, which is pretty normal for September in So Cal.
Selkie
Very hot and humid with drought conditions here in Illinois. But there is a cold front moving in - hurray!

kroe1
If you mean recently being chased by a hurricane, then I would say, "yes". But, many would state that it is hurricane season so not unusual.
KungFuPanda
If by "crazy" you mean "awesome" then yes. I love summer. It's been fall for only a minute. I'm not in a hurry to take leaves and see my garden die. I'm still eating fresh tomatoes!
Guinevere
We had a slow start to summer here, and I'm glad it isn't getting cold yet. Besides, it's so exhausting to keep track of jackets and shoes for all the kids! I love shorts and sandals weather!
happi duck
At least 20° hotter than usual. I makes me sad to still be running the a/c. I want to open windows!
Liz CA
Record high today of 91 where I am. It's fall. I live in upstate NY. This is CRAZY weather. What about your neck of the woods? F91 would be nice. Actually the forecast is supposed to be around that all next week. I suspect / fear that it's going to be higher than they say - it usually is. We have had a very hot summer and I am done with the relentless heat. To top it off, one of the offices I work in fairly regularly has the AC turned down to the sixties. When you come into the parking lot, you get a temp change of 40+ degrees if the outside is F100 and up which it has been here all summer. Hard on my old body. bookbard
Well, the extreme weather (hurricanes) and the tumbling heat records (here in Australia too) are linked - it's called global warming. I read today that our dry spell here in Sydney is about to be broken by a series of huge storms.
DawnM
90 this week, but my friend is visiting Montana and they got 8" of snow this past weekend and she and her family went SNOW SKIING! They posted pics on FB. Crazy.
SparklyUnicorn
At least 20° hotter than usual. I makes me sad to still be running the a/c. I want to open windows! I know! I really want some fresh air, but I'm still running the air conditioners. And I just realized one of them crapped out. It's only blowing, but no cold air. I wonder if I can find something on clearance...*sigh*
wintermom
Super hot here in Ontario. Record high yesterday. It was still 87 F at night, and that is really strange as the days are getting much shorter. I'm pretty thrilled about the heat, though, as outdoor tennis is incredible!! Usually I'm wearing layers of clothes and trying to play with gloves at this time of year.

It was miserably hot in the Midwest yesterday. Last night? Ton of rain. It's 20+ degrees cooler this AM. FEELS AMAZING!
desertstrawberry5
It's refreshingly cool. We went from above 100 to highs in the 80s in like one day. We had a really hot summer. I'm so glad it's finally cooled down.
Tenaj
Hot here for the past 10 or so days. We have an Intex pool that we put away every winter. Usually it's still up and functional through September but this year because of the cool August we emptied it the day after Labor Day. Of course, then the weather turned and we would have used it every day. The kids are slightly bitter. 😀
Mommyof1
Near 90 yesterday. In the high 60s today with rain on and off. JanOh- same for us minus the pool Edited September 26, 2017 by Mommyof1
Guest
Still hot today but it's supposed to drop tomorrow and stay lower for the rest of the week. Hmph! One more nasty sticky day.

Melissa in Australia
Yes the weather here is crazy. We just had our second driest winter on record. Seeing that we get most of our yearly rain in winter it does not bode well for summer. On the weekend we had our hottest ever day for September. On the weekend we also had bushfires. 2 full months before the bushfires are meant to start. One was pretty close, we were in the voluntary evacuation zone, but the wind was blowing the fire away from us not towards us. The firefighters and aerial boomers saved a house up the road. Our whole state is dreading when the bushfire season proper begins Edited September 26, 2017 by Melissa in Australia
