Katy
I'm so sorry your fur baby died. Please don't create slideshows of all the photos you've posted during your dog's slow decline of the last week into a dying doggie slide show and share it over and over. Just... no.
Monica_in_Switzerland
That's weird. Happy pictures of a dog's full life... I get that. But just the last week? Pretty weird...
Guest
Also, I do not need to see your child's gaping wound or the stitches that follow.
Heatherwith4
That’s easy to agree with. And so is your post, Moxie.
Word Nerd
Also, I do not need to see your child's gaping wound or the stitches that follow. This. I shuddered when a zoomed in shot of my niece’s DD’s split lip and bloody gums from a fall appeared in my timeline. Poor baby, but come on!
Arctic Bunny
I think we're got another topic with 100% agreement here!
Barb_
Yeah, I can get behind that too.
marbel
No kidding. What is the point of documenting that sort of thing? Who wants to remember that?
Catwoman
Wow. I started liking the posts I agreed with, and I ended up liking every single one! :)
heartlikealion
I thought this was about ads for animal shelters or something at first
Butter
Since this is a JAWM post, I'll just say people deal with grief in different ways and I will never try to tell someone what they should and shouldn't do with that grief.
happi duck
I struggle with photos of wounds. I wish people would post "I hurt myself today. Photo in the comments." instead.
Mimm
I had to unfollow someone on Facebook because she kept posting horrible child abuse stories. Like the really bad ones. :( Once we were talking face to face and she said, "Oh did you hear about that little boy they took in such and such a nearby town?" I said, "Yes, I heard but I don't want details please." She said, "Oh yeah it was really bad" then proceeded to start going into detail and I interrupted her and said, "No really, I do not want to hear about it please." She has a weird fascination with those types of stories. So yeah, I agree with the OP, and the gaping wounds posters. I know we can't shut our eyes to all the misery of the world, but having it pop up in your Facebook feed is very unsettling and distressing. :(
G5052
I once unfriended someone who kept posting up-close pictures of all of their injuries and surgeries. Everything from when she nicked herself in the kitchen to her son's mouth after oral surgery. The worst was her flakey husband's leg after he got his cast off after three months. I wouldn't send pictures like that to my family members, so why on Facebook?
TravelingChris
The one I didn't mind was seeing my friend's stitches after her brain tumor was removed. I was very happy to see that her skin was not at all red and inflamed. Dying dog pictures -no.
Audrey
I agree. I dislike any time that someone publicizes what should be the private, final moments of a life in that way. It denies the dying their private dignity. It doesn't matter if it's a person or an animal. Have a little respect. In those moments, it's not about you.
