caedmyn
Anyone have a good way to keep a climber off the table? My 12 month old figured out how to climb on the kitchen chairs a few weeks ago and now he's climbing on the table. This was a losing battle with all his brothers so it's probably a lost cause, but I thought I'd post in hopes that someone else has figured out how to defeat a climber. Hilltopmom
We moved all the chairs to the back porch for months. Just moved them in at meals.
hjffkj
You could use a bungee cord to keep the chairs secure and under the table so he can't pull them out. They'd still be easy enough for an adult to undo when you needed to use the chairs
Tangerine
I just repeatedly toyed with the idea of installing those spikes they use to keep birds off of signs.
lovinmyboys
We put the chairs in the garage or up on the table.
eternalsummer
We also got rid of chairs for a while.
MotherGoose
We laid them over into the floor. Mine wasn't adventurous enough to climb up on that. Yours may be ;)
wendyroo
Every time I plucked her off the table I would firmly say "no climb table" and pop her right into her Pack and Play where she would loudly protest her unjust confinement. After ~10 minutes I would take her from the Pack and Play and set her right next to her toddler slide in the play room and say, "Climb your slide!!" Lather, rinse, repeat. It took about a week. She still climbed the chairs, attempted to get herself into a sitting position, and sometimes tumbled off, but she no longer climbed from the chairs onto the table.
