Jean in Newcastle, biopsy? For your dd?  I will pray!

Yesterday was long and busy.   This a.m. I am fighting a headache.  Yuck.

Today:

Mobile vet comes for dog at 9:30 (check up)

Meeting with my co-guardian sister and then going to check out a new attorney (we are co-guardians for our youngest sister with Downs).  Appt is at 2.

Do some tidying/school prep things

Figure out dinner.  I really need to feel better so I can run to the store before the vet.  We don't have any bread.

Can't think of anything else . . .

Good morning! I need to get the stress case (dd2) out the door for the first day of school. ds2 did not sleep well, he has a pretty bad cold and cough, so I will let him sleep for a while. Ds3 and dh went out to get a game of tennis in before the day begins and dd1 is off swimming. Eventually, everyone will be where they are supposed to be and school will begin.

To do:

paper/coffee

dd2 off to school

gets boys started

hair cut at 9

home for more school/supervision

daily chores

meeting to set up homschool confirmation at new parish

dd2 haircut after school

figure something out for dinner

dh and ds2 to college fair

Have a great day!

I will say a prayer for your daughter today, Jean!

-coffee, computer, Bible time, meds, breakfast

-try to forget about the brownies I made for the boys, don't want to blow my diet!

-spend an hour alternating between my desk and the cabinets. Progress is being made, folks!

-do a whole house pick-up

-pay some bills

-tell myself I am not craving chocolate ANY LONGER! Brownies are disgusting anyway!

-put away the last of yesterdays laundry

-take my boys and some of their friends to the park. I'll walk for at least 1 1/2 miles, get some more Bible reading in, and just generally enjoy the afternoon

-after friends are picked up, drop my boys off at my mom's to spend the night there. They can go swimming and have fun one last time this summer.

-come home to a clean house, take a bubble bath, and enjoy the evening with just my husband. And a brownie.    :001_tt1:

Kids were lazy so we got to day camp a half hour late, and I don't care.  :P

I took out the garbage, drove them to camp, took a walk and then set up my computer at the office.  I have about a half hour before I leave again to drive them home.

I have some stressful work to do today.  I think I will wait until I am home, and only work on boring stuff before that.  :)

Kids have a dentist appointment later, followed by their math tutor.

Will hope to do some more walking and reading.

Need to do some cleaning and organizing for out-of-town houseguests to come.

Was hoping to finish a read-aloud this week, but it's now looking unlikely.

Dd and I are having quite a time getting her horse to take his medicine.  :glare:

He has to get two grams of powdered anti inflammatory twice a day - which is a lot of powder. The vet said, "It's apple flavored and horses love it. Just mix it in with his grain."

Ha. He won't touch it - and this is my least picky horse who eats anything and everything.

So I mixed it with applesauce and put it in a huge syringe, and ended up splattered head to toe when he spit it out on me.

Now the boys are home from work and I'm thinking it might take three of us to get it done. One to hold the horse, one to stick the syringe in his mouth, and one to push the plunger thingy.

I decided that there is no way any cooking is happening tonight and we'll be ordering takeout for dinner.  :tongue_smilie:

After a week of syringing a cat who turns into something from The Exorcist, you have my complete sympathy.
