readinmom Posted August 12, 2017 Share Posted August 12, 2017 Morning, all! It's been a long first week back to school. My classes are overcrowded and the a/c is non-existent (98 degrees plus). Other than that, it's been great. To do today: coffee laundry, laundry, laundry vacuum/dust library with dd to pick up some required reading, look for new workout dvds work on school stuff work on budget :crying: groceries/meal plan maybe baseball game later with dh, or movies? SKL Posted August 12, 2017 Share Posted August 12, 2017 Well, another day that didn't go as planned! I was supposed to send out a report in the morning - forgot about it. Then I was to drop my kids off at math with their bags packed for an overnight with their aunt (that part did happen, but we were late due to a traffic accident that shut down the whole road). From there I was going to go to my elderly friend's house and do her taxes. I called my friend to let her know I was 15min away and was it OK to come (we had talked about it a week ago, but she seems to be a little forgetful these days). She said, "oh, you're coming to visit me? Well they changed my room number to XXX. Wow, you'll be my first visitor in 6 days." I went to her apartment building and looked for XXX, but there was no XXX. So I called her to check, and she said, "oh, you're at my home address, I'm not there. I'm in the hospital!" Having said I was on my way to visit her, and her saying she hasn't had a visitor in 6 days, of course I had to go. I also swung by her home to pick up the tax papers from her husband. (Her dh is not very mobile, so that is why he can't visit her.) I was glad I went, but now I still have to do those taxes, some time. :P So then I went home and blabbed and folded laundry, and now I'm finally back on the work I was supposed to send out in the a.m. I hope the rest of the day is uneventful! 4 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Wrestled a cat who was spraying pink medicine around like something from the exorcist. Nagged a teenage girl into cleaning her room. Nagged a 20 year old young man into washing the sliding glass door. Dh cleaned the kitchen without asking. I have another load of laundry in the dryer and one in the washer.
