CrunchyGirl
I'm using Latin Alive 1 with an accelerated 5th grader. Six chapters in it's going really well and he's appropriately challenged but I'm concerned there really isn't much practice. Before I start making my own, has anyone found resources for extra practice?
fourisenough
Following. My DD12 will be doing it with a WHA class, so I'm interested to hear any responses you receive.
You can't go wrong in any Latin program using Lingua Latina as an adjunct reader.
Tranquility7
You can't go wrong in any Latin program using Lingua Latina as an adjunct reader. This is true, although Orberg's Lingua Latina Per Se Illustrata (as much as I gigantic.puffy.heart LOVE it!) is not necessarily great practice for Latin Alive, since it has a vastly different scope and sequence. So yes, adding it in as a reader would be fun, but after several chapters it might still not meet your "need for practice" of Latin Alive concepts. I'm not sure what would meet that need, just wanted to add more info to the Lingua Latina recommendation.
MamaSprout
Do you belong to the Yahoo group? There's some resources there. I seem to remember quiz study sheets in the files that could work as extra practice. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/LatinAlive/info
