maize
What probiotics would you recommend for a 4 year old who needs antibiotics every 8 hours for 7 days? I'm going to try to give them in between antibiotic doses, though I can't really do that in the middle of the night.

sbgrace
Florastor. They do have a kids version now, but I always used the regular version with my son. They are generally available in, say, Walmart where I live. Florastor is not killed by the antibiotic because it is a beneficial yeast. Any other probiotic will need to be re-dosed 3 (some say more) hours after each antibiotic dose. And it's killed each time. So I like Florastor. ETA: I think the kids versions are pour out powders. But if you decide to use it and can only find the regular, you can open the capsule and dump on food. You would want something not hot. I used to do applesauce or similar.
