SamanthaCarter
That lets out a shriek or alarm when a child's decibels get too high? Not kidding. I give up trying to teach my eleven year old what is a proper inside voice. I mean, ten years is an honest effort, right? Zinnia
I need this for my 7 year old. A variation of a bark collar. Brilliant!!
dsmith
I wish! My son's SLP recommended using this to practice his indoor voice: https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Toobaloo-Auditory-Feedback-Phone/dp/B00R56CJ0Q Unfortunately as he's become older he has become louder again, and he is not interested in practicing at his age, lol. I signal him when he is getting too loud, but it is a constant thing.
Spryte
Yes! There's an app. We used it on our iPad, years ago, and I'm sure it's changed names, if could remember the name. It measured the decibel level in the room, and if they reached a level set by you, an alarm would shriek. It had a dial that would go up and down, on a gauge, and you could set different scenes. It was meant to be used in a classroom, so looked very kid friendly. And for every X minutes that the decibel level stayed in range, it awarded a gold star. Man, I loved that app for teaching one particular child to use an indoor voice. :) I'll try to come back and link to it, or something similar.
