Today's schedule: Chores-increased due to cooling needs for the chickens and extra watering for plants and so forth Grocery list-in process Weekly planning-four days of school this week Writing-I want to go for a 3000 word day Housekeeping-linens, a full house sweep Cooking-very limited.It's too hot to cook. Order curriculum--I've scheduled a full week in the middle of August to plan out five or six weeks. It's six weeks. I got 4th Form Latin, Geography 3, and some of the MP Literature guides. Then I picked up a couple of used books for physics and history, and Backyard Ballistics, just because. That's about it for now. I bought MP French back in the spring, and it looks like it will fit the bill for eighth grade French for the boys, and we already bought the next level of CLE Math. Chores Latin-continue lesson 16, review vocabulary Math-lesson 7 Literature-continue The Hobbit, vocabulary and comprehension questions History-half of Cp 6 (reconstruction in the South) Logic-Fallacy 5 Appeal to Fear, review questions and discussion For me: Latin, Geometry, Writing, Housekeeping, Cooking I need 3K words today on my Camp NaNo project. I'm forgoing Latin and Math today to work on my story. I had an email from a friend today inviting me to take part in a contest, and I need to have a full manuscript and a query letter built by August 2. I can do that, but I desperately need time to work on the query letter and to polish my first four chapters for the contest. And I have to work later this week. Got to get all of this done and fast. We got taken over by an impromptu trip to the pool with grandma, which allowed me to get a lot of writing done, but did nothing to facilitate finishing school. For me: Writing, Housekeeping, Cooking. I am currently sitting at the table basing in the fact that my new batter for my laptop arrived and now I can sit on the sofa and work on some lesson plans, lol. I don't have much scheduled for today, I did math and piano practice with the younger one and now we're going to the library because I want to read The Dark Tower before watching the movie.
