...................
A few things about my dd: She does not like to sit still She has a touch of focus issues and dyslexia She does MUCH better with the fewest numbers of things to to per day, possible (and the maximum time out with her horse, etc.) Right now our plan is: Friday Academy Classes (1.5 hours on Fridays plus homework and reading assigned, parental involvement expected) 1. Starting Points by David Quine- covers Worldview, Lit, HIstory, and English. Teacher adds writing so there's a little bit of writing practice and instruction each week. 2. Apologia Physical Science - the usual 3. Sign Language 1 That's it. She will also do an art class if our favorite teacher offers it, and she will be at the barn 4-5 times per week, several hours each time working with her horse and/or working around the barn (she hopes)... She does read a lot and goes through phases of twaddle and phases of reading the classics :)
RootAnn
Plus math, right?
EKS
As RootAnn points out, math seems to be missing. Also, if you wanted to you could spread the first year of foreign language out over 8th and 9th grades (and give one credit for it at the end of 9th).
