Slache
My daughter is about ready to learn to read and I think I'll do Spanish first with her. Any favorite resources? I'm thinking something like Phonics Pathways and Bob Books in Spanish. I know nothing about this.
Renai
La Pata Pita. Or index cards. I'll get a syllable list to you;I can't find the original. Here's how I taught Dancer when she was younger: http://creativeplaybilingual.blogspot.com/2007/02/a-simple-how-to-teaching-reading-in.html?m=1
Ariston
Spanish is much easier than English to teach. In the absence of any learning difficulties, I would just put syllables on index cards. Practice all of the consonants with vowels. (ba, be, bi, bo, bu, etc.). Then start putting syllables together (fo-ca, de-do, mo-no, etc.
flor
I was taught how to read Spanish and taught my children using "Nacho: Libro Inicial de Lectura" available at ebay and amazon. It is how many of us are taught how to read in Latin America. I believe there are newer books, but this one is an old trusted friend :). Enjoy!
