JanetC
Apparently, the ACT considers a 36 the hundredth percentile? I thought the highest was the 99th? http://www.act.org/content/dam/act/unsecured/documents/NormsChartMCandComposite-Web2016-17.pdf I generally put the percentiles on the transcript by the test scores, but putting 100 for the subsections she got 36 on seems odd to me. mathmarm
The document is titled "...Cumulative Percents..."
maize
That is cumulative percents, not percentile. When all student scores have been accounted for you have 100%.
JanetC
This is the only percentile chart I could find on the ACT website. Should I use these numbers on my transcript? Should I put the percentile from one point lower for each section?
EKS
This is the only percentile chart I could find on the ACT website. Should I use these numbers on my transcript? Should I put the percentile from one point lower for each section? I wouldn't put the percentiles on the transcript. Colleges will know what a 36 means.
JanetC
You're right. It's more of a consistency thing. My state has an annual testing requirement and I document those tests on the transcript, so I have some obscure tests on there.
maize
If the ACT score report does not list a percentile I would not put a percentile in the transcript. Edited June 28, 2017 by maize
Lawyer&Mom
My first Dd was born with an 100th percentile head. At least that's what it said on her print-out. Obviously the software was rounding up, but it made me giggle that she had the largest head *ever*.
Sebastian (a lady)
You're right. It's more of a consistency thing. My state has an annual testing requirement and I document those tests on the transcript, so I have some obscure tests on there. I only listed the scores that were most meaningful for that particular test. So I didn't list percentiles for SAT, ACT, AP or Subject Tests. There were also tests that I only listed in course descriptions, like National Latin Exam.
Ann.without.an.e
DD had a 36 on two sections of the ACT and I did not put percentile. Just the sections scores and total score.
