3girls4me
Hi ladies, My rising 7th grader is going to take prealgebra with Derek Owens starting in August. She finished Rod and Staff 6 back in march so I bought TT prealgebra just for kicks for her to do the rest of the year and into this summer. I know TT isn't as challenging as many others, but I figured it couldn't hurt to do some of it before starting DO prealgebra next. So here is the question. She did standardized testing recently. She did amazingly well across the board but her lowest scores were in math, particularly number relationships. We own all of the Math Mammoth series and I was thinking about having her do the workbooks Decimals, Fractions and Percents. (3 different workbooks in the blue series) Do you think it's better to go that route (Math Mammoth) and hope that solidifies the number relationships better or continue with TT prealgebra? I've never used either of those options. We typically use CLE but this particular child did R&S. None have used MM solely. Just supplemental occasionally. Thanks!
